A good sales caption works only under its own photo and its own product. Paste your caption under a different product: if it still works, it says nothing about yours.

Write three lines with the Scene-Item-Message formula (ฉาก-ของ-ทัก in Thai). The scene is a moment your buyer knows that follows from what the photo shows. The item is one fact about the product. The message is one next step.

This page has 15 Thai captions under 13 images. They are grouped by what you sell (fashion, food, drink, beauty) and by tone: ฮาๆ (funny), ปังๆ (punchy) and ขายเบาๆ (soft sell). Every caption is new, written for images GenLabs made. Each Thai caption comes with a plain English gloss.

The Scene-Item-Message formula: a three-line sales caption tied to the photo

The formula is a caption of three lines, and each line has one job. The scene lets the buyer see herself in the photo. The item says what you sell. The message says what to do next. Write it after you pick the photo, not before, because the first line must continue what the buyer just saw.

The first example uses the salted egg custard bun photo, in the ปังๆ (punchy) tone:

Two hands pull apart a hot steamed bun and gooey salted egg custard runs out, above an orange package. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "Rip it, and the salted egg filling runs out." Item: "Steamed bun with salted egg custard, 2 buns a pack, 120 g." Message: "Type 'ขอซาลาเปา' (I'd like the buns) in the chat and say how many packs."

Line one is the scene. Line two is the item. Line three is the message. The scene uses a moment the buyer knows: you tear a hot bun and the filling runs. It is also what the photo shows. A general phrase like "so tasty, you must try it" fits any food, so it shows the buyer nothing. Line two holds only what is printed on the pack (2 buns, 120 g).

Line Job What to write How to check
1 Scene (ฉาก) The buyer sees herself in the photo One moment she knows (when, where, doing what) that follows from what the photo shows Cover the photo and read the line. Do you still see a picture?
2 Item (ของ) Say what you sell The name of the product and one fact. Pick the fact you answer most often in chat (size, flavour, weight) Does the fact match the photo or the pack?
3 Message (ทัก) Give the next step One step only: message you, type a set word, tap the cart, or tap the link in the bio Is there one step? Does the buyer know what happens next?

The swap test (ทดสอบสลับรูป). Before you post, paste the caption under another product in your shop. If it still works, write it again. Here is a caption that works under anything: "สินค้าใหม่มาแล้ว ทักแชทได้เลยนะ" ("New stock is here, message us"). It fits a bun, a bag and a face cream equally, so it sells nothing.

If the photo is too busy to show what you sell, fix the photo first: remove the background from your product photo, free, no signup.

Want a draft for your own product now? In GenLabs, the Write caption with AI button gives 3 captions when you schedule a post. Then rewrite the first line with this formula.

Sales captions for clothes and fashion: examples under a jacket, trousers and sandals

For clothes, start from the moment the buyer will wear them. Think of chasing the skytrain, a Saturday with no plans, or rain that just stopped. Then give one fact you can see in the photo, such as colour, cut or material. Make the message a question you must ask anyway, such as height and weight, or size.

Figure 2 · ปังๆ (punchy)

A man in a black zip jacket over a white T-shirt leans into the wind as he runs on a bridge beside a building. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "Running for the 8:30 skytrain, the wind pushes so hard you lean." Item: "Black zip-front jacket, loose fit, worn over a white T-shirt." Message: "Message us your height and weight and we will help you pick a size."

Why it fits this photo: the scene comes from the running lean you can see. Line two holds only what is visible. Line three is a question you need answered before you can suggest a size.

Figure 3 · ขายเบาๆ (soft sell: tell a quiet scene and invite, no push)

Legs in loose white trousers and white sneakers walk across a metal grate, a tan canvas bag hanging at the side. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "A Saturday with no plans. All you want is trousers you can stroll in all day." Item: "Loose white long trousers; they go well with white sneakers." Message: "Tap the link in the bio to see the sizes we have."

Why it fits: the photo shows only legs walking on a pavement, so the scene is a Saturday stroll, not a fitting room. The next step is a link in the bio, because the buyer can check sizes herself.

Figure 4 · ฮาๆ (funny)

Wet feet in olive green two-strap slide sandals on a glossy, wet wooden floor. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "The rain just stopped and the floor outside is still wet. People in canvas sneakers walk on tiptoe." Item: "Waterproof two-strap slide sandals, olive green; fine to wear on wet feet." Message: "Message us your size and we will check stock."

Why it fits: the photo shows wet feet on a wet floor, so the scene matches what you see. The joke is about people in other shoes, not about the buyer. Line two gives one selling point: waterproof.

Sales captions for food: examples under cup noodles, coconut jelly and rice crisps

For food, start from the moment people eat it (stuck in evening traffic, a hot afternoon, a late-night series). Then give the flavour or type and the weight printed on the pack. Do not write "tasty" in place of a scene. Every shop writes that, and the buyer sees nothing.

Figure 5 · ฮาๆ (funny)

A hand holds a cup of tom yum noodles while chopsticks lift steaming noodles up, against an orange dusk sky. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "Stuck in traffic since 6 p.m., your stomach is louder than the horns." Item: "Cup noodles, tom yum shrimp flavour, 75 g." Message: "Tap the cart to order."

Why it fits: the orange sky in the photo is going-home time, so the traffic scene is clear at once. Line two holds only the flavour and weight on the cup. The message is "tap the cart", for buyers who do not want to chat.

Figure 6 · ขายเบาๆ (soft sell)

A spoon scoops clear young coconut jelly from a plastic tub, beside coconut and palm leaves. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "An afternoon so sunny you do not want to move. You want something cold." Item: "Young coconut jelly, 180 g tub, clear pieces of jelly." Message: "Want a tub? Message us."

Why it fits: the photo shows a spoon lifting clear jelly next to coconut. The hot afternoon makes the cold cup more tempting. No joke, no exclamation mark. The photo does the work.

Figure 7 · ปังๆ (punchy)

A hand opens a blue bag of rice crisps and the crisps burst into the air against a blue background. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "Watching a series late at night: after the first crunch you cannot stop." Item: "Rice crisps, sour cream and onion flavour, 60 g bag." Message: "Comment CF (Thai sellers' word for 'I confirm I will buy') with the number of bags."

Why it fits: the crisps burst out of the bag in the photo, so the caption is short and fast to match. CF works on posts where buyers already comment.

Sales captions for drinks: examples under yuzu soda, lychee drink and jasmine green tea

For drinks, start from what people feel when they drink: the click of a can, the last bottle in the ice, a morning with no rush. Then give the flavour and the size in millilitres. Add the pack you sell: a can, a bottle or a tea tin.

Figure 8 · ปังๆ (punchy)

A hand pulls the tab of a chilled yellow yuzu soda can, and drops spray up from the opening. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "Pull the tab of a cold can in the hot sun: a click, then the fizz." Item: "Yuzu soda, 250 ml can." Message: "Message us the number of cans you want."

Why it fits: the photo catches the moment the tab is pulled and the spray flies. The scene is the click and the fizz, the sound the buyer hears in her head when she sees it.

Figure 9 · ฮาๆ (funny)

Two bottles of lychee drink sit in a red ice chest full of ice cubes. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "The last two bottles in the ice bucket: everyone pretends not to care, and every hand reaches at once." Item: "Lychee drink, 300 ml bottle, chilled until it wets your hand." Message: "Message us the number of bottles."

Why it fits: the photo shows the last two bottles in an ice chest, so the party scene matches. The joke is about how people behave at a party, not about the buyer.

Figure 10 · ขายเบาๆ (soft sell)

A dark green tea tin with a gold lid on a round table beside a tea bowl and tea leaves, with leaf shadows on a green wall. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "A Sunday morning with nowhere to rush: brew a cup of tea and just sit." Item: "Thai jasmine green tea, loose leaf, 80 g tin." Message: "If you want to try this scent, message us and we can chat."

Why it fits: the photo has a tea bowl and leaf shadows on the wall, and nobody is in a hurry. The caption is quiet like the photo, and the next step is an invitation, not an order.

Sales captions for cosmetics and skincare: examples under a lip colour, a face cleanser and a gel cream

For cosmetics and skincare, start from the moment people use the product: a lip colour on the bus, a morning face wash, cream at the mirror. Then give the product type and the size printed on the bottle or jar. Leave out promises about results. Let the scene and the photo tell it.

Figure 11 · ปังๆ (punchy)

A woman on a bus applies a lip colour stick while looking into a round compact mirror. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "The next stop is the office. The lipstick must be done before the bus stops." Item: "Soft lip colour in a stick; you can put it on in the bus, a compact mirror is enough." Message: "Message us to choose a colour."

Why it fits: the photo shows a woman putting on lip colour on a bus. The scene is the minutes before work, and "before the bus stops" gives only as much time as the photo shows.

Figure 12 · ขายเบาๆ (soft sell)

A woman pumps face cleanser from a pale green bottle into her palm over a bathroom sink in the morning. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "A groggy morning: just pump it into your hand and wash your face awake." Item: "Gentle-formula face cleanser, 200 ml pump bottle." Message: "If you want to try it, message us to ask."

Why it fits: the photo has soft morning light in a bathroom, so the groggy scene matches the light. Line two holds only what is printed on the bottle.

Figure 13 · ฮาๆ (funny)

A man holds a jar of gel cream and rubs cream on his cheek at a bathroom mirror. Made with GenLabs.

Gloss. Scene: "A friend asks what he has been using lately. He says 'sleeping more', but the secret is in this jar." Item: "Gel face cream for daily care, 50 g jar." Message: "Want this secret? Message us."

Why it fits: the photo shows a man putting cream on at the mirror. The joke is that he will not tell anyone, and the caption does not say what the cream does to skin.

All 13 images were made with GenLabs for examples on the website. The brand names printed on the products in the images are invented, and none is a real client. Every fact in the captions (flavour, size, weight, colour) comes from the image. It is either visible or printed on the pack in the image. In your own shop, use the facts of your real product.

Funny, punchy or soft sell: the tone changes, the three lines stay

Tone is the voice of a caption, not its structure. You can write the same bun photo in three tones. The item line and the message barely change. Only the scene changes its voice.

Two hands pull apart a hot steamed bun and gooey salted egg custard runs out, above an orange package. Made with GenLabs.

Tone Scene Item Message

Gloss of the table. Punchy: scene "Rip, and the filling runs"; message "Type 'ขอซาลาเปา' in the chat and say how many packs." Funny: scene "The filling ran onto your hand. Lick or wipe? You have three seconds to decide."; message "Just type 'ขอซาลาเปา' in the chat." Soft sell: scene "A day off with nowhere to rush. A hot bun and one cup of coffee is enough."; message "If you want to try it, message us to ask." The item line is the same bun in all three.

Tone What it looks like Fits
ฮาๆ (funny; also กวนๆ, ตลกๆ) The joke comes from a feeling the buyer knows. It never mocks the buyer Products people joke about: snacks, drinks, everyday items
ปังๆ (punchy) Short and sure. It plays with what you see or hear in the photo Photos with a beat to see: filling that runs, water that splashes, wind in a jacket
ขายเบาๆ (soft sell) A quiet scene, no exclamation mark, an invitation to message instead of an order Products a buyer wants to ask about first: cream, tea, clothes that need a size

The second table is how we choose a tone. It is not a test result. We have not measured which tone brings more orders. If you post all three tones on one product, count how many people message you for each post.

Where the caption shows on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok

On all three platforms a long caption is cut short with a "more" link. So the scene line must make sense next to the photo at once. Keep all three lines short enough to show before the cut.

Platform Where the caption sits What it means for writing
Facebook (Page post) The text sits above the photo The buyer reads the caption first, then looks at the photo. The scene must match what she is about to see
Instagram (feed post) Below the photo, after the account name The buyer sees the photo first. The scene should continue from it, not describe it again
TikTok and Reels Over the bottom of the video The text is read while the video plays. Lines must be short and quick to finish

We give no number for how many characters show before "more". We have not found an official page from these platforms that confirms one, and each platform changes its screens often. The most exact way is to post a test. Then look on your own phone and see where the caption is cut.

The same photo crops differently in each place. See the product image sizes for each platform, 2026 before you post. If you will post a video, try making an AI video from one product photo.

Writing captions in GenLabs: AI helps write them when you schedule a post

In the GenLabs app, an AI helps write the caption when you schedule a post to TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. The app calls it "คำบรรยาย AI" (AI caption). In the app you can:

  • Pick a picture or a video from your library.
  • Schedule the post to TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, and auto-post for supported accounts.
  • Let an AI help write the caption.

Check the AI's caption with the formula before you set the time. Ask three things. Does the first line follow from what the photo shows? Is there one fact about your product? Is there one next step? If any answer is no, fix it or write it again. Price, stock and delivery terms must be real for your shop. Check them before every post.

Social publishing is part of every plan. The Startup plan is ฿599 a month and connects 1 social account. The Pro and Business plans connect unlimited accounts.

What a caption cannot do: limits to know

A good caption tells the buyer what to message you about. It cannot do many other things:

  • It cannot fix a photo that is unclear. If the photo does not show what you sell, the scene has nothing to continue from. Fix the photo first.
  • We have not measured the examples on this page. We wrote them for made-up products. We did not test which caption brings more orders, and we have no sales figure to quote.
  • A joke that does not say what you sell leaves the buyer with nothing to ask about. Always keep line two.
  • The formula is for a post that sells one product. Shop-opening posts, promo notices and pep talks to yourself need their own changes.
  • The funny tone does not fit every brand. If your shop speaks politely, use soft sell.
  • An AI caption is a help, not the final answer. Check the facts and the Thai letters before you post.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write a funny sales caption (แคปชั่นขายของฮาๆ) without forgetting to sell?

Take the joke from a scene in the photo, and always say what you sell in line two. Example: for the bun photo with filling that runs, the joke is "lick or wipe, you have three seconds to decide". Line two says plainly that it is a salted egg custard bun, 2 buns a pack. Cheeky (กวนๆ) and silly (ตลกๆ) captions are written the same way.

What should a clothes caption

Three things. First, a scene from when the buyer will wear it, such as chasing the skytrain or a Saturday with no plans. Second, one fact, such as colour or cut, or the fact you answer most in chat (size, material). Third, one next step, such as messaging you her height and weight.

What should a food caption

The flavour or type, the weight or size, and the number in a pack, as printed on the pack. Examples: 2 buns, 120 g; a 180 g tub; a 60 g bag. The scene comes from the moment people eat it, such as evening traffic or a late-night series.

How is a punchy caption (ปังๆ) different from a funny one (ฮาๆ)?

Punchy is short and sure. It plays with what you see or hear in the photo, such as filling that runs or the click of a can. Funny plays with a feeling the buyer knows, such as filling running onto your hand and having to choose between licking it and wiping it. Both use the same three lines (scene, item, message). The table in the tone section compares them.

Can I use ready-made captions from the web?

Yes, if they pass the swap test: paste one under another product, and it must stop working. Most captions in the top three results for แคปชั่นขายของ, which we opened on 29 September 2026, were written to fit any product, so they often fail. Borrow the three-line frame and write it again for your own photo.

Can AI write my sales caption?

Yes. In GenLabs, an AI helps write the caption when you schedule a post to TikTok, Instagram and Facebook (the app calls it "คำบรรยาย AI"). Check it with the three questions of the Scene-Item-Message formula, and check price, stock and product facts before every post.

You have the product photo. Schedule the post and let an AI help write the caption on any GenLabs plan. 700+ Thai businesses have paid for GenLabs.
