Crop an image online, free: no sign-up, no upload
Crop an image here in 3 steps: pick a JPG, PNG or WebP (up to 10 MB), choose a size, then drag the frame over the part you want to keep. You get a JPG or PNG at the size you chose, made in your browser. It is free, 10 times a day, with no sign-up, and the file never leaves your device.
A 1:1 image at 1080 × 1080 pixels clears the minimum at Shopee (500 × 500) and TikTok Shop (600 × 600), and sits inside the range Lazada takes (330 × 330 to 5000 × 5000).
This tool crops rectangles only, has no circle, and does not set file size in KB.
Crop to the size Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Instagram, Facebook and LINE set
The tool has 12 ready-made sizes, grouped by where you use them. A crop gives a file at the pixels in the first column. The third column holds the numbers from each platform's own page, read on 29 September 2026, and each size in the first column matches or passes them. Any other size is one you type under "Custom" (64 to 4096 pixels on each side). The full table for six platforms is in the article Product image sizes for Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, 2026.
| Ready-made size | Use it for | What the official pages state | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1:1 · 1080 × 1080 | Product photos on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, LINE SHOPPING; a 1:1 Facebook Feed ad | Shopee: at least 500 × 500 pixels, file up to 2 MB. Lazada: 330 × 330 to 5000 × 5000 pixels, file up to 3 MB. TikTok Shop: ratio 1:1, at least 600 × 600 pixels, file up to 10 MB. LINE SHOPPING: ratio 1:1, recommended minimum 640 × 640. Meta: recommended minimum 1080 × 1080 | [1] [2] [5] [7] [8] [10] [11] |
| 3:4 · 1080 × 1440 | Shopee product photos where the shop turned on 3:4; Lazada's portrait promotion image | Shopee lets the shop turn on 3:4 (at least 500 × 500). Lazada portrait promotion image 3:4, at least 750 × 1000, file up to 3 MB. Instagram takes a post photo 1080 wide up to 1440 tall | [1] [3] [6] [14] |
| 4:5 · 1080 × 1350 | An Instagram Feed photo post | Post photos should be at least 1080 pixels wide, ratio between 1.91:1 and 3:4 (at 1080 wide, 566 to 1440 pixels tall). 4:5 at 1080 wide is 1350 tall, inside this range | [14] |
| 4:5 · 1440 × 1800 | A single-image ad in the Facebook and Instagram Feed | Meta recommends 4:5 at 1440 × 1800, JPG or PNG, up to 30 MB | [11] [12] [13] |
| 9:16 · 1080 × 1920 | A vertical image for Stories, Reels and TikTok | Instagram Stories ad: Meta recommends 1080 × 1920, minimum 600 × 1067, .jpg or .png up to 30 MB. TikTok recommends exporting vertical 9:16 video at 1080 × 1920 or above (TikTok's page is about video and gives no image size) | [15] [17] |
| 9:16 · 1440 × 2560 | An image ad in Stories and Reels | Meta Ads Guide recommends 1440 × 2560 (Meta's Instagram Stories ad requirements page recommends 1080 × 1920, the row above) | [16] |
| 851 × 315 | A Facebook Page cover photo | At least 400 wide and 150 tall; loads fastest at 851 × 315 as an sRGB JPG under 100 KB | [18] |
| 1:1 · 320 × 320 | A Facebook Page profile picture | Page profile picture 320 × 320 pixels | [18] |
| 1:1 · 640 × 640 | A LINE Official Account profile picture | 640 × 640 pixels, file up to 3 MB | [19] |
| 1:1 · 1040 × 1040 | A square LINE rich message | 1040 × 1040 pixels, file up to 10 MB | [19] |
| 2500 × 1686 | A large LINE rich menu | 2500 × 1686 (the large menu also comes at 1200 × 810 and 800 × 540), file up to 1 MB | [19] |
| 16:9 · 1200 × 675 | A single image on a TikTok Shop storefront | Single image ratio 16:9, at least 800 pixels wide; 1200 × 675 is 16:9 and wider than 800 | [9] |
- TikTok Shop: one question at the foot of the add-and-manage-products page says "more than 300 × 300 pixels", but the main text of that page and the listing guidelines say 600 × 600. We use 600 × 600. [7] [8]
- Instagram Stories: two Meta pages give different numbers (1080 × 1920 and 1440 × 2560), so the tool offers both. They are both 9:16. [15] [16]
- File types: Shopee and Lazada take JPG and PNG, so this tool downloads JPG or PNG only. For Shopee, pick JPG. In our test of the image resizer, a picture of a drink can at 1080 × 1080 was a 286 KB JPG but a 2.1 MB PNG, which is over Shopee's 2 MB.
- File sizes on the screen count 1 KB as 1,024 bytes. When the cropped file is over the limit for the size you picked, the tool tells you before you download.

Cropping one 3:4 photo to 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16: how much it cuts, counted on a real picture
Cropping cuts the edges off. The further the new ratio is from the photo's own, the more it cuts, and if what is left is smaller than the size you chose, the tool has to enlarge it and the picture gets softer. We counted on a GenLabs-made picture of a drink can, 1086 pixels wide and 1448 tall (ratio 3:4). The table gives the largest crop frame at each ratio, rounded to whole pixels; you can slide the frame anywhere on the photo. The numbers are arithmetic from the picture's size, not measurements from the tool.
| Size you get | Largest crop frame (pixels) | Part of the photo kept | Scale applied |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1:1 · 1080 × 1080 | 1086 × 1086 | 75% (25% of the height cut) | Shrunk to 0.99 |
| 3:4 · 1080 × 1440 | 1086 × 1448 | 100% | Shrunk to 0.99 |
| 4:5 · 1080 × 1350 | 1086 × 1358 | 94% (6% of the height cut) | Shrunk to 0.99 |
| 4:5 · 1440 × 1800 | 1086 × 1358 | 94% | Enlarged 1.33 times |
| 9:16 · 1080 × 1920 | 815 × 1448 | 75% (25% of the width cut) | Enlarged 1.33 times |
| 9:16 · 1440 × 2560 | 815 × 1448 | 75% | Enlarged 1.77 times |
Cropping a 3:4 photo to 1:1 or 4:5 at 1080 wide needs no enlarging, so it stays as sharp. Cropping it to 9:16 at 1080 × 1920 enlarges it 1.33 times and cuts a quarter off the sides. If your photo is like this and you do not want it enlarged, choose "Custom" at 810 × 1440 (also 9:16). That file clears the 600 × 1067 minimum Meta states for a Stories ad, but is smaller than the 1080 × 1920 Meta recommends. [15] To keep the whole picture without cutting, use the image resizer with "no crop, add borders"; the picture gets white bars of equal width.
Crop without losing the product: what the platforms say about the product in the picture
Do not crop until only part of the product shows. TikTok Shop asks for a main image that shows the whole item, Shopee asks for a product larger than half of the cover picture, and Stories and Reels need margins.
- TikTok Shop main image: a plain background (white recommended), the product taking at least 60% of the picture, the whole item visible, not cropped down to a part of it, and the front of the product. [7]
- Shopee cover picture: use a white background, no watermark, logo or text covering the product, and the product must be larger than half of the picture. [4]
- Stories and Reels (ads): leave about 14% at the top, 35% at the bottom and 6% on each side, and put no text, logo or key detail there. [20]
Before you press "Crop", check that the whole product sits inside the frame. If you can reshoot, leave empty space around the product. See how to take product photos with a phone.
What this tool does not do
This tool crops one image at a time. It does not do the following.
- It crops rectangles only. There is no circle or other shape.
- It does not rotate, flip or adjust colour.
- There is no batch mode.
- It does not take iPhone HEIC files. It takes JPG, PNG and WebP only (convert to JPG first with the image converter).
- It does not set file size in KB (use the image compressor).
- It does not cut a product out of its background (use the background remover).
- It does not add room to a photo. If the picture is too tight on the product, a crop can only cut more away.
- The free limit is 10 uses a day, counted in your browser, not on our server.
Cropped. Next, make the product photo help you sell.
A photo cropped to size is still the photo you took. To get product images, ads and posts ready for your shop and page, send one product photo from your phone to GenLabs and pick a direction. GenLabs writes the prompts and makes the images: a set in 2 minutes, and you write no prompts yourself. Then you can schedule posts to TikTok, Instagram and Facebook from the same place.

Frequently asked questions
What size do I crop a photo to for Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop?
Crop to 1:1 at 1080 × 1080 pixels and download it as a JPG; it passes the size rules of all three (this is our conclusion, not a platform rule). Shopee needs at least 500 × 500 pixels, in JPEG, JPG or PNG, up to 2 MB. Lazada takes 330 × 330 to 5000 × 5000 pixels, in jpg or png, up to 3 MB. TikTok Shop uses a 1:1 ratio, at least 600 × 600 pixels, up to 10 MB. The numbers come from each platform's own page, read on 29 September 2026. The sources are in the table on this page.
Can I crop on my phone, and is the file uploaded?
Yes. Open this page in your phone's browser, tap to pick a photo from your Camera Roll, and drag the frame with your finger. The cropping happens in your browser, and no image file is sent to a server. An iPhone HEIC photo needs converting to JPG first with the image converter, which sends the file to GenLabs' server to process it.
Will the picture blur when I crop it?
Cropping cuts the edges off; what is left is not blurred. The picture gets softer when the part you pick is smaller than the size you get, because the tool has to enlarge it. The tool tells you before you press Crop when it will enlarge. In the example on this page, a 1086 × 1448 photo cropped to 1080 × 1080 needs no enlarging, but cropped to 9:16 at 1080 × 1920 it is enlarged 1.33 times.
How do I keep the whole picture so the product is not cut?
When the photo's ratio is not the size's ratio, a crop always cuts something off. To keep the whole picture, use the image resizer with "no crop, add borders"; the picture gets white bars. If you crop, drag the frame so the whole product is inside it with some room around.
Can I crop into a circle, and what do I use to cut a product out of its background?
This tool crops rectangles only, with no circle or other shape. For a profile picture it has square sizes: 320 × 320 (Facebook Page) and 640 × 640 (LINE Official Account). Cutting a product out of its background is a different tool, the background remover: free 3 times a day, no sign-up, and you get a PNG with a transparent background.
How many times a day is it free, and what do I do when I have used them?
Free 10 times a day, with no sign-up, counted in your browser. When they are used up, come back the next day, or sign up and make images in the GenLabs app. New sign-ups get a free trial of 10 credits. See all plans at https://genlabs.in.th/en/pricing
